Where is the clinic located?
Our address is 5410 N Scottsdale Rd Suite C200, Paradise Valley, Arizona, 85253. We are in the northeast corner of the lot. If you happen to enter the wrong office, the receptionist should be able to point you in the correct direction as most of the businesses within our complex are familiar with each other.
How do I contact the office?
We cannot communicate with patients regarding their treatment plan, changes to treatment, lab results, etc. via email or text. We will not respond to those as it is not HIPAA compliant. We can communicate via the patient portal or telephone. All lab results can be faxed to us or uploaded to the portal.
What do I need to establish care?
In order for us to be able to treat you, we must have updated labs, consent forms, patient portal login and a scheduled appointment.
How do I request a prescription refill?
You can request a prescription refill two different ways!
- Patient portal – click on “Medications”, select the one you want refilled, add a note and hit send!
- Leave a voicemail on the Rx line. We will check these daily and call them in within 1-2 business days.
When I have a phone appointment, do I call in or does the physician call me?
You call in! It is the same as if you were to come in for an appointment.
How quickly can I get my prescriptions refilled?
We can refill your prescriptions within 24-48 business hours as we are not in the office on weekends. Please request your refill a week in advance so we have time to send it and the pharmacy has time to fill it before you run out.
What do I do if I have an acute concern?
If it is a medical emergency, please dial 911 or visit the nearest urgent care or hospital. However, if your concern is not an emergency, call the front desk to schedule and we will fit you in.
Do I have to sign consent forms?
Yes. Legally, we cannot see a patient, draw labs or perform any procedures without signed consent forms.
Do I have to use the patient portal?
Yes. This is where we communicate with patients, upload lab results, display your Patient Plan (treatment and instructions), refill prescriptions, electronically sign consent forms, etc.
Where do I order supplements from?
You can order supplements through our website via the shop link! You will be able to create an account for each of our distributers and order direct.
Can I pay for someone else or have someone else pay for me?
Yes, but a consent form must be signed allowing someone other than yourself access to your account. This consent must be signed by both parties and can be withdrawn by one or both at any time.
How often do I need to update my labs?
When a patient sees Dr. Ramsey for the first time or at an annual appointment, their patient plan will always reflect their next lab draw and follow up timeframe. This is imperative and should not be missed. The reason is that they are usually given 60 to 90 days worth of prescription when they start and told how to increase their dosage in the appointment. This will allow them to get to their optimal dose by their follow up. Then we draw labs and see how well they are optimized. If they are optimized, we write prescriptions for a year. This means that the next time they call in for a prescription, it is time to do their labs and their annual appointment. This cannot be missed. If not optimized, the dosage changes for another 60-90 days and another follow up scheduled. Once optimized, that is when the patient’s 6 months and one year begins ticking.
